How to Measure Your Downstem Correctly

Getting the right length is vital—too short and it won't reach the water; too long and it will hit the base of your bong and potentially crack the glass.

The Method: Always measure from the bottom of the frosted joint (the part that sits inside the bong) down to the very tip.
Do Not measure the entire piece including the part that sticks out.
The Pencil Trick: If your original stem is broken, slide a pencil into the bong until it's about 1/2 inch from the bottom, mark where it exits the joint, and measure that length.

Joint Sizes: 14mm vs 18mm

The first number is the size of the joint on the bong.
The second number is the size of the bowl that fits into it.
